What is this world coming to
What have we become
We feel the need to police the world
When all it needs is to be left alone

Why do we think we have it right
That our life is the way
The rest of the world should be
Why cant we just leave them alone

People don’t need to fight over bullshit
Everyone is dying left and right
And for what
Nothing!

And even with that
We can’t leave well enough alone
We just have to butt in everything
We’re like the nosy little brother of the world

We try to keep the peace
But how can you keep peace with war?
We say we’re ridding the world of evil
But must we be evil to do that?

We act like we rule the world
But we can’t even control our own country
We act so high and mighty
We can’t even see the ground

And those that are suffering
Beneath our feet
We need to get off out political high horse
And start walking, and seeing

We’ve become desensitized to the agony
That we place on the world
Even our own people can no longer
Tolerate the suffering

We were put on this earth to serve a purpose
And if that purpose is death
Then we are fulfilling it admirably
It’s the one thing we’re good at


Our leaders are lying
Our soldiers are dying
Our children are crying

Our families are failing
Our good men are ailing
We are lost

We need a change!

It’s the one thing that will end this

I hope that in the end

All the torture
All the discrimination
All the ignorance

All the unforgiven

All the anger

I hope that all that will end
I hope that men can learn
The one true virtue
